The hints I gave were;
1) that most of the occurences were on the same wall of the house, (the East).
2) that there was a guardian upstairs, (not the ghost(s)), to the North of the danceroom.
3) that the ghost, (the single female), didn't know what was going on.
4) that the 'bad' energy was heaped up in one room and was strongest in one wall of that room.
5) that there were crystals in the floor above the bad room.
6) that there was a large mirror on the main wall that is the problem, and a smaller mirror on the other smaller area that was drawing us, (both in the basement).
7) that the only other areas that felt 'nasty' were ones leading to the basement and the hallway leading upstairs to a window/door out.
So, given the hints that we shared, my friend and I came to the conclusion that, even though there was the capability of a portal before, the reason that it came to be so powerful and so nasty is because of the mirrors. I asked my friend if the house owner ever covers the mirrors, (when I saw the black curtains that were attached), and she said, "not often".
Mirrors have been used for years as tools for http://www.rowan.edu/mars/clubs/gaia/scr... scrying, and remain covered when not in use so that they do not act as a beacon or gate. They have the capacity to draw things from other planes and transport them here, (they act as a focus for the 'beings'). They also amplify light on other planes so they almost 'call' to things by saying, "Hey, I'm a source of power, come to me".
For a mirror(s) that large to remain uncovered is very dangerous, especially of the capacity for a gate was there already and if the area beyond the gate, (the house), has a lot of crystals and activity that draws up energy, (dancing, tai chi etc.).
Why did the beings get drawn in on the first floor then stuck in the second?
We believe that because there was so much pure good energy in the area just beyond the gate, (the danceroom), and there were crystals in the floor and a 'guardian' in the room next to the danceroom. The good stuff was welcome to come across and flow wherever they liked but the bad stuff was forced into the floor and below into the basement. There was no way for the bad stuff to get out because the floor was full of crystals, so they couldn't go back up and it ran right above the stairs so only
