Another type of node is known as popliteal lymph nodes. They are located in the back of the leg, behind the knee. They collect fluid from your feet and legs.

There are several other organs in the body that are closely related to the lymphatic system. These include the spleen, subclavian veins, the thoracic duct, the thymus, and the tonsils.

Thanks for the input. My wife lost a few of her lymph nodes during cancer surgery. It is a scary process but she has survived for over 30 years since the operation.
