Spray Duranon only on the outside of your clothing. Lay the clothes on a flat surface, like a porch or garage floor covered with newspaper. Shake it well and spray the cuffs of pants and shorts, along buttoned areas, on caps and hats. Allow the clothing to dry before wearing. The active ingredient in Duranon is permethrin, formerly called parmanone. Permethrin was tested by the Armed Forces during the Iraq War to repel ticks, mosquitoes and fleas.
