"Then the knowing/Then the light" indicates, as Paul says, "Now we see in a glass darkly." We don't know a lot about God. But we'll learn in his presence.

Vajda again ends his brief hymn with a benediction, starting again with the Holy Spirit. Vajda also urges us patience in our Advent waiting: "Then/Then/Then."

If I remember correctly, the song "Now the silence" is in two of the Canada's new hymn books, one Mennonite and one United Church. It was good to find out about the background. ...
