To be sure, Luther's education continued well past the bestowal of his Doctorate. He would until the day he died see himself as a student of Scripture, always seeking to learn more. While his class ranking may not seem outstanding (30th of 57), one must keep in mind that not everyone went to school-only those who could afford it and met the rigorous academic requirements. What is impressive is that by the age of 28 he has studied two disciplines (Law and Theology), has earned a Doctorate, and is a full-fledged, full-time professor at a major university.
