Bread Machine Creations - Part 2 of 2


More delicious and healthy bread machine recipes for the adventerous! All of the following recipes will yeild a fresh, crusty 1 1/2 pound loaf of bread to accompany almost any meal!

Southwestern Salsa Bread
1 2/3 cups prepared salsa (or one 16 ounce jar)
3 cups bread flour
1 cup cornmeal
2 tspns. active dry yeast

Place all ingredients into the pan in the order suggested by the bread machine manufacturer; select basic white bread setting and start. Makes a 1 ½ lb. loaf.

Fat Free Zucchini Bread
1 cup water
4 cups bread flour
1 tbspn. brown sugar
2 tspns. salt
1 tspn. ground cinnamon
1/2 tspn. ground cloves
1/2 cup coarsely grated zucchini
3 tspns. active dry yeast

Place all ingredients into the pan in the order suggested by the bread machine manufacturer and add zucchini with dry ingredients; select basic white bread setting and start. Makes a 2 lb. loaf.

Ginger Pumpkin Bread
3/4 cup nonfat milk
3/4 cup canned mashed pumpkin
3 tbslpns. dark molasses
1 ½ cups whole wheat bread flour
1 ½ cups unbleached bread flour
1 ½ tblspns. vital wheat gluten
3/4 tspn. ground ginger
3/4 tspn. salt
1 ½ tspn. active dry yeast

Place all ingredients into the pan in the order suggested by the bread machine manufacturer; select basic white bread setting and start. Makes a 1 ½ lb. loaf.

Italian Garlic-Basil Bread
2 cups baking flour
1 cup lukewarm water
1 package of active dry yeast
1 tspn. sugar
1 tspn. salt
3/4 tspn. dried basil
3/4 tspn. garlic powder

Place all ingredients into the pan in the order suggested by the bread machine manufacturer; select basic white bread setting and start. Makes a 1 ½ lb. loaf.
