As the weather cools, fish become a bit sluggish but weather the temperature changes well. The exception is that sudden changes are not good, such as in introducing them into your pond. The procedure is to float them right in the bag in the pond for awhile, while the temp of water in the bag reaches the temperature of the pond. Then open the bag and let the fish swim away. There is a really good list for ponders, to subscibe go to the Pondkeepers list at Yahoo.com to subscribe. These listmembers are so marvelous, one even sent me some plants when she had to thin her plants out. BTW, if you live in the Phoenix area, I need to thin out my water iris and miniature cattails so if anyone wants some, please contact me. I would be happy to give you some.
