Christmas Eve

This will be a normal Sunday Service except Marylebone station will close at 2045.

Christmas Day

No Underground Service at all. Well they do need a break!!!!

Boxing Day

London Underground will generally run a 5-6 minute service in central London, with trains running every 10 minutes on the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines, and every 7-8 minutes on the East London, Jubilee and Metropolitan lines.

Trains will start running around 0830, with last trains finishing at Sunday times.

Watch out there are some stations closed on Boxing Day. click here for a list of stations. Also some sections of London Underground lines will also be closed on Boxing Day. Find out here.

Those days in-between (when some people will be working)

This is straight from the London Underground website:

"A modified Saturday service with mid-morning frequencies starting earlier on the Bakerloo, Central, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Northern and Piccadilly lines. Midday frequencies will continue until 1930 on the Central line. The East London line will run a weekday service including Shoreditch peak service until 1900 then a Saturday service.

A normal Monday - Friday service will run on the Waterloo & City line. A Saturday service will run on the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Victoria lines. Silverlink Metro trains via Queen's Park will run a Saturday service. Chiltern Railways' trains via Amersham will run a Saturday service."

Back to normal on Saturday 30th December.

New Year's Eve, Sunday 31 December

"Services will start at Sunday times. Reduced services of four trains an hour in the central area and two trains an hour on outer sections of lines will run until about 11:00, except on the Piccadilly line to and from Heathrow which will run every 5-10 minutes.

After 11:00, services will run every 5-6 minutes in the central area and every 10-20 minutes on outer sections of line. Last trains will run one hour later than Monday-Friday time.

The Waterloo & City line will be closed all day. Borough, Cannon Street, Chancery Lane, Edgware Road (Bakerloo), Regent's Park and Temple stations will be closed all day. The following stations will close early: Goodge Street (at 19:00), Westminster (at 22:00) and Piccadilly Circus (at 23:45). Covent Garden will become exit only at 18:00 and close at 22:00. Leicester Square will become exit and interchange only at 19:00 and close at 23:45."

New Year's Day

"London Underground services will start at about weekday times. Reduced services of four trains an hour in the central area and two trains an hour on branches will run until about 1000, after which Saturday services will then run.
