If the officers determine that there is a need to make an arrest, sometimes well-meaning loved ones don’t accept the officer’s judgment and begin a verbal or physical fight with the responding officers. If you don’t agree with the arrest, don’t take it up with the officer on scene. He or she is making a decision based on the facts at hand, acting within the guidelines set by state statutes and department policy. Taking it out on the officer in the heat of the moment will get you nowhere, except possibly in jail.

Finally, I want you to know that I hope you get the help you need. Nobody deserves to live in an unsafe world.
