Another Path

Four years ago, I began writing about Living Simply. It felt good to be committed to writing at least one article a month about my very own topic! I immediately liked Suite 101 and the people here, and that was another big plus.

I've enjoyed writing about this topic. It has been a journey of discovery, friendship, and a certain satisfaction.

But, over the past six months or so, I've noticed that I seem to be out of fresh ideas and that the articles are harder for me to write. Could it be that I need to take another direction? I spent six months pondering that question and, at last, I have decided that this will be my last article under the "Living Simply" topic.

I feel almost as if I am "abandoning" my topic, but I know that the time has come to try something else. My hope is that another writer, with fresh ideas and new energy and a less jaded outlook, will adopt this topic. I would welcome that!

I have enjoyed meeting readers and fellow writers through the posts on this topic's discussion board. I hope that I won't have to miss you, that I can continue to enjoy your company at another topic for which I write, "Depression in Women." Please come over and visit some time!

Time always brings change in its wake. Who knows? Maybe some day I will start a new topic, adopt an old one, or even return to this one. Only time will tell.
