At 80+ years of age, Saul Bellow is still contributing 'gold-standard' novels. Ravelstein, published in 2000, clearly establishes that Saul Bellow leads as one of the most masterful writers /novelists of the 20th century. With this novel he proves that he is still 'the undisputed emperor of the American sentence.'

The Adventures of Augie March won the National Book Award in 1954. One reader actually suggested that one need never buy another book, ever. Augie March, is the story of a poor Jewish youth from Chicago, and his comedic journey through the 20th century.
