Where to find it?Ideas and inspiration for your writing can come from the weirdest places. It may be an event, a word, or even just a look. AS you go through your day, keep an eye on everything that happens around you. If something catches your eye and you focus on it for any amount of time, then maybe that is something to log into your memory or if you have one, write in your notebook. I get ideas for plots for fiction at the drop of a hat. I might just be sitting there, doing nothing, and in walks a bunny. A bunny being a plot idea. If I tried to write every single idea that I had, I would be writing 24 hours a day seven days a week. So I write them down and see when I can find the time to devote my full attention to them. Trying to write several stories at once can be quite trying for some, so unless you feel comfortable doing so, it is best that you only write one thing at a time. However, it is sometimes impossible for a writer to do this when one writes professionally, they need to be able to work on several projects at the same time, and be able to do so efficiently. For this writer, it is easy to confuse, but with time, the writer will build enough skills, so that taking on several projects at the same time will not be as difficult as when they started out. What makes it somewhat easier is if the writing being done is spread out over different types of writing. Say for example, working on a romance novel while also working on children’s non fiction. It can be done. I have been doing it for a quite a while now. You just need to be in the proper mind frame. Focus on the task at hand at that precise moment, and let all else go away from you until it is done or the muse has left you for that day. Just find what works best for you.
