The end of the year is upon us. This is the time of the year where we sit back and review the year that has past, and evaluate what has occured. What we have done in our own lives. As well as what has happened in the world around us. 2001 is a year where much has happened. Much has changed to make us see the world in a different light. Many many lives have been lost. Many before there time. We in the America can no longer feel safe in our own homes for fear of having something happen. Much has changed.
What has occured in your own life? With those that you know? With your work? With your writing? Now is the where you evaluate all these things. I will focus on your writing in this article. Sit down at your desk, and look back through what you have written. Read through them. Think back to what motivated you to write that piece. Look through them and see which can be fine-tined and made better. See which of them you have sold to markets for publications. What was different about these pieces that made them purchaseable by a market? Make notes. Perhaps you might want to go in this direction for future works. Every writer has niche. Some type of writing they are good at. If there are many bought pieces of the a similar type this might lead you to your niche. Try and focus on this. In next week's article, I will discuss looking forward to the year 2002. what can you do to get ready for it?
