Places to network with other writersThere are many ways that you can meet with other writers both online and offline. Online you have chat rooms, mailing lists, and message boards. Offline you have workshops, meetings, book clubs. There are so many ways to meet others that enjoy what you love doing. All you have to do is look for them. In the rest of this article, I will tell you some of the places I know where writers can meet and share information. Chat rooms There are several places online where writers can get together and chat about their writing or writing in general. Kidlit This channel is moderated by children's author Verla Kay. It can found on the DALnet IRC network or through her website at VerlaKay.com. Offline There are many places where you can meet writer's offline. Check with your local college or public library and see if there is meetings in your area. Another place to check is your local bookstore. There is sometimes writers that meet regularly there.
