Rt. Hon. Jean Chrétien steps down as PM


In 18 months, Canada will have a new Prime Minister, for the first time in nine years. I was nine when Chrétien became Prime Minister. All I remember of politics before him, were Air Farce's impressions of Mulroney: "Hi, how you doing?"

Well, his career is over, and still promises of 1993 are still unfulfilled. Perhaps unfortunately people will least remember of him, his glory years, ironically from a time before he was First Minister of the Dominion.
