Third Annual Life in Canada Review: 2001-2002© David Newman
Feb 19, 2002
This article was supposed to be written last week but with the death of HRH Princess Margaret, I decided to postpone my annual review to make way for a tribute article for the Princess. It's been three years since I joined Suite101. When I joined there was no official minimum in how long an article ought to be (six articles wouldn't have passed the length minimum if they had started the 400-word minimum that year) and we didn't have to state sources. But Suite101 has changed a lot and I believe for the best (except its preference of American spelling, but I guess it makes business sense). In this Life in Canada year we've seen war break out between the West and Afghanistan in the American War on Terrorism. We've said goodbye to many great Canadians such as Mordecai Richler, Mr Dressup, Frank Shuster and Peter Gzowski. BEST ARTICLES
