Much of the Liberal campaign is to show the Alliance as an Extreme Right party and show that the Liberal Party has done and will do more than the Alliance is promising to do. The platform on the Liberal site shows what the Grits have done during the past two terms and what they plan to do. They mention cutting down the debt, investing in health care and cutting income taxes within months as their economic platform. Where Health care is mentioned, the Liberals promise to work more with the provinces and territories to make sure that the country has good health-professionals and good equipment in Canadian hospitals. They promise to invest more money into research on how to make health services better.

As always, the Grits place importance on Unity and says the Liberals have strengthened the federation by better cooperation with the provinces as well as making sure Quebec stays in Canada with the clarity bill. Also on the Canadian culture front, they promise to deliver more money to Canadian films and telivision as well as giving more money to the CBC and will continue to help Canadian artists and athletes prosper.

Environment issues have become more important in recent years and the Liberals aren't ignoring it in their platform. They promise that they will help the environment while letting the economy grow, so you can have your cake and eat it too. The will invest 180 million dollars to protect species who may disappear. They will attempt to stop emission from toxic substances into the nature and will work internationally to help fight pollution.

The Grits' foreign policy is to have a freer trade with the rest of the world, specifically with the Americas (South and North), as well as being tougher on immigration procedures to make sure that more people enter Canada but that those who would abuse the system be denied entry. As for defence, the proud tradition will continue as the Liberals promise to support the Canadian forces. Also, the Grits will make sure that we grow in a multicultural environment by keeping the present level of immigration. They promise to fight criminals who exploit people who come to Canada and by reforming the refugee application process to be able to help those in need faster.

Equality is important to the Liberals who have faced important issues in their platform to help equality for women as well as improving the economy in First Nation or Inuit communities so they can have a working self-government. They also want to help those who have disabilities and seniors in the country.
