Federal Election Results

Stephen Harper has done well, as he wasn't as easily demonized as Stockwell Day was. He presented himself as a Centrist, well, as a Progressive Conservative, although his Reform ideas come up at some points, especially his ideas towards Medicare, and Provincial rights, and much of the campaign was to paint themselves as "Moral Liberals".

The Green Party may have stated expecting its first MP was perhaps disappointed. The truth is, that the people will not vote for them until we get proportional representation a policy which they advocated, as did the NDP. Under a mixed-PR system the results would have been approximately Liberals 115, Conservatives 92, New Democrats 49, Bloc Quebecois 39 and Greens 12 and one independent (elected locally).
