The Alamans started to move again, repeatedly attacking the Limes after 233 AD. By 260 AD they had broken through the fortifications and forced the Romans back to the Rhine, the Bodensee and the Danube. It would only be a matter of time before the Germanic tribes invaded the peaceful valley of Roman Liechtenstein.
