1990 - the government announced plans to revise the country's banking legislation to prevent the misuse of its banks.

1992 a referendum to lower the voting age from 20 to 18 was rejected with a 56% no vote.

1995 - Canada established diplomatic relations with Liechtenstein in June 1995.

2000 - the Principality of Liechtenstein was included in a black list of states which were said to have not co-operated in the fight against money laundering.

2002 - The population of Liechtenstein was 33,678.

1922 - Felix Gubelmann named acting Head of Government

2001 - Liechtenstein filed a suit against Germany before the International Court of Justice for disregarding Liechtenstein's sovereignty and neutrality and violates property rights of Liechtenstein citizens treating by using Liechtenstein property that had been confiscated by former Czechoslovakia as German external assets. Germany to the confiscated property to pay it's reparation debts.

1957 - The bonnet crown on the flag of Liechtenstein was slightly modified.

1999 - Wedding of Philipp von Lattorff and Tatjana Princess von und zu Liechtenstein in the Cathedral of Vaduz.

1922 - Gustav Shadler named Head of Government

1968 - Alois Hereditary Prince von und zu Liechtenstein was born.

1988 - Wedding of Don Vicente Sartorius Marquess de MariƱo and Nora Princess von und zu Liechtenstein.

1938 - The coat of arms for the commune of Schaan was granted. The colours blue and red are the Liechtenstein national colours. The ear of wheat in the blue field symbolises farming, while the wavy silver band on the red field represents the river Rhine.

1712 - Joseph Wenzel Lorenz (b. 1696 - d. 1772) became Count of Vaduz and lord of Schellenberg (title Graf von Vaduz und Herr zu Schellenberg) until 12 Mar 1718.

June 22

2001 - The FATF decided to remove the Principality of Liechtenstein from the financial transparency black list, acknowledging LAFV's efforts. Liechtenstein had introduced measures to render its legislation more effective: the Criminal Code has been amended, the Due Diligence Act tightened up, and a revised Law on Mutual Legal Assistance introduced.

1956 - The coat of arts for the commune of Triesen was granted. It was derived from the arms of the von Trisuns (von Treisen), the oldest family of gentry established in Triesen and first mentioned in documents around 1273.

June 24

1937 - Yellow crown added to the blue upper stripe of the national flag in response to confusion with the flag of Haiti at the Berlin Olympics in 1936.
