Perhaps some different sections. The regular index page, Some kind of intermediate area, maybe the better stories, or something like that, and then some kind of journal area with peer review stories.

Sending some kind of updates to lists would be a good way to build traffic, though I’m not much of a traffic whore. A hand picked best of, or some kind of summary area or page that points out the best stuff.

More original content, more interviews, stories and that kind of stuff.

A move to Our own server really needs to happen soon, though I keep putting that off.

GD: What do you hope to be doing professionally in, say, a year from now?

BC: Another good question, I’m not big on plans for the future (my girlfriend can attest to that!) Publishing needs to be first on my list, if I want to keep my job, I’m tenure track and if I don’t get off my ass and get published I’m in big trouble. I think I’ll be at OSU for a long time to come, and keep LISNews going as well.

I enjoyed the article but I find it strangely unnerving that Carver doesn't mention any female librarians who are doing great things for the profession! What about Genie Tyburski, Mary Ellen Bates, M ...
