The Leicester Radio Society and Computer Club

can be read about at the LRS&CC Website.

The Club Today

Today the LRS&CC offers membership to any amateur radio enthusiast and if you're interested in membership, details can be found here! The club awards trophies each year to deserving enthusiasts.
One is the ‘Craythorne Trophy’, which is dedicated to the memory of Cliff Craythorne, G3PBC. It is an actual Vibroplex Morse key presented to a society member each year for achievements in Morse code.

Mike Silver was awarded this trophy in 1988. He tells me that the key goes back after one year and that you get a photo to keep.

I have merely touched the surface of how the LRS&CC contributes to amateur radio and for a comprehensive look into their role of both past and present radio history, I urge to you visit their Website.
I would like to thank Mike Silver and the LRS&CC for making this article possible. You can reach Mike at the club's Website if you require further information.
