The City of Leicester Show
The City of Leicester Show is held every August Bank Holiday and although the entrance fees have risen somewhat since I was a child, it remains a show not to be missed.
Aside from the show, Abbey Park retains it's image of the 'People's Park' and should be visited outside of show time to appreciate it's full beauty. It brings pleasure to thousands year round who seek a little quietude from the rigours of city life. It deserves our admiration and a secured place in our memories.
