Located on a wall in my house, sits a clock. Nobody who enters here ever pays any attention to it, except me. To many it is just a time piece, ticking away as all good clocks should. But, should anyone happen to show an interest, or politely enquire as to it's origin, then I hope for their sakes, they have plenty of time because there's a passionate tirade about to ensue!
Coca-Cola Cup Winners - 1997 My Team For All Time" This clock and this team represent a moment in time which conveys pride, joy, pleasure and immense nostalgia. How I miss my football and in particular, the "Blue Army." You might be wondering what all the fuss is about, well just ask a City fan to explain their passion for this particular team. Leicester City Football fans are notorious for being the most dedicated and loyal fans throughout the whole of the football world. Ask them how it feels to follow their team to the twin towers of Wembley. Ask them to explain what it is like to walk up Wembley Way with 35,000 other fans all singing their hearts out for team and city. Demand to know why, when their team loses, they feel like someone has just ripped their hearts out. Unless you're a City fan, you really can't explain. You try to find the right words, but they're just not passionate enough, the depth of utter despair at a loss, or the height of absolute delight at a win just cannot be portrayed with mere words. It is quite amazing, how eleven men just kicking a ball around can cause such frenzied emotions that can effect your life forever. "That's going to the extreme," I hear you say. Actually it isn't and if you'll be gracious enough to allow me, (don't say I didn't warn you), I'll explain why. There are three things that I recall when I think about my home team, despondency, elation and unity. Most of these feelings I admit, occurred at times when Leicester City were playing in crucial matches on the sacred pitch of Wembley. There were wins and losses - the elation and the despondency, but the unity is ALWAYS there and it really is an amazing feeling!
