Heyrick's society was one of the chief donors to the Anti-Slavery Societies cause, and out of fear of losing this money, at a conference in May 1830, the Anti-Slavery Society agreed to support the Birmingham Female Society's proposal for an immediate end to slavery.

Elizabeth Heyrick died in 1831 and did not live to see the passing of the 1833 'Abolition of Slavery Act.' Parliament in passing this act, gave all slaves in the British Empire their freedom.

Elizabeth Heyrick can only be commended for her efforts. In a time of male dominance, Elizabeth endeavored and succeeded in assuring the abolition of slavery. Elizabeth's faith and passion for justice served to give freedom to many, may she rest humbly with her accomplishment.
