The Belgrave Hall Investigation

Derek Acorah's relatives first discovered his clairaudience abilities at the age of six, after he relayed a message to his Grandmother from his Grandfather, a man who died five years before Derek was born.

Derek's first passion however was soccer and by the age of 13, he was training with legendary Liverpool manager, Bill Shankley. By fifteen years of age, he had been signed as a professional soccer player.

Continuing his soccer success in Australia, he played for another four years before a knee injury cut his career short and brought him back to the shores of England. Back in Liverpool, Derek placed a small ad offering clairvoyant counseling, an ad that led him to the beginnings of world fame.

As the UK's leading Psychic Medium, his company was sought by Hollywood's Burt Reynolds, Cher, Bette Midler and George Hamilton. Today, Derek works with police agencies on missing children cases and homicides, he is a weekly guest on two radio broadcasts and hosts his own TV series, "The Psychic Zone of Derek Acorah," a success throughout Europe.

Derek joined the ISPR team as an investigator in December 1998 and has become a much valued member of the team.

Today Derek shares his experiences with us as he recalls the night of the investigation at Belgrave Hall.

"Belgrave, in my opinion is quite unique in my experience over the past 26 years.

Belgrave was very spiritually active with a number of spirit entities who seemed to be ranging from quite friendly personalities to Edward Ellis, who made it quite clear and plain that he thought it was an intrusion by myself and my fellow investigators and seemed quite anxious about us being there, to such a point that he wished us to leave the premises.

This man in his physical life, I believe, had a mixed personality - showed a lack of tolerance with other people. He was an impatient sort of person, not wicked or evil, but somebody who could flare up at the slightest moment from being calm - quite different to the other family members who were still associated with the hall.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the investigation, even to me as a spirit medium, which I have not experienced before, was the collectiveness of the individual spirit entities, who were communicating between themselves and then used one family member as a spokesperson, who would step forward, make themselves known and then would pass on the messages - all that is with the exception of Edward.

Are you aware of the Papillon Hall haunting and the so called "Haunted Slippers"? I have many hours of research on the subject, including eyewitness testimony. I also have several personal accounts of ...
