In the first of my series of interviews with the ISPR, please allow me to introduce Daena Smoller, SCI-PSI Investigator.
Daena is a former on-air radio personality, advertising executive and Junior Achievement Instructor. She joined the ISPR in 1995 to study Parapsychology and the field of paranormal research. Initially Daena worked on the technical side of field research until her own abilities developed sufficiently to become an Empath and Transmedium.
Daena's attributes have enabled the ISPR to formulate new theories and understanding in the field. Her abilities allow direct communication with an entity, rather than relaying information. Her empathic qualities allow the team to study the emotions and physical sensations of an entity. In short, Daena experiences what the entity feels, including pain!
Under the guidance of Dr Montz, Daena handles a variety of mobile instrumentation and has conducted over a thousand field investigations. When not investigating, her expertise in marketing, advertising and promotions are utilised into bringing about an understanding of Paranormal research to the lay person. Daena achieves this through the ISPR Website, the ISPR journal and continuous radio and television appearances.
Deana is also a partner with Dr. Larry Montz and Film Director/Artist, Beeaje Quick, in the restoration project of the Vogue Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, part of a multi-billion dollar Hollywood Revtialization project.
So what did Daena herself witness on the night of the investigation? Well for that, we'll turn to her. Daena tells it as it happened and in her very own words! Remember that each investigator has different and yet unique abilities, so each of their accounts will have a very different perspective.
The investigation was set to begin around 9pm on that Friday night. Dr. Montz and I however, were at Belgrave by 6:10am Friday morning to do live breaks with twoTV breakfast morning shows for English viewers. I didn't want to travel through the house, since I was part of the investigation for that night. So the only parts I saw, were the back kitchen, the foyer and the first staircase, as well as the second floor landing, where the breaks for the TV shows took place.
I was exhausted, not having much sleep since we left the States the previous Monday night. So I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I was standing on the staircase, right before going on air, and I saw what looked like a mirage effect near a chair on the second floor landing. But no matter how many times I blinked and tried to look away and look back, it was still there.
