Papa Roach
Happenings on the Papa Roach front include: a new album "lovehatetragedy" on June 18; first single "She Loves Me Not" hit radio airwaves on May 7; band nominated for two California Music Awards; and Roach rocked the house at the mtvICON Aerosmith tribute in April. With this month marking the two-year anniversary of the release of Papa Roach's triple-platinum DreamWorks debut, Infest, the band--vocalist Jacoby Shaddix, guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Tobin Esperance and drummer David Buckner-gear up for the June 18 release of lovehatetragedy, which was produced by Brenden O'Brien (Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine). The first single is "She Loves Me Not." Other songs on the album include "M-80," "Sid," "Black Clouds," "Time and Time Again" and "Decompression Period." After winning the Outstanding Single award for "Last Resort" at the 2001 California Music Awards, Papa Roach's achievements are being recognized once again with two nominations this year. Jerry is nominated for Outstanding Rock Guitarist and Tobin for Outstanding Rock Bassist. Papa Roach were part of the all-star lineup paying tribute to rock legends Aerosmith on mtvICON: Aerosmith, with the band performing "Sweet Emotion." The show aired on MTV April 17. Papa Roach plans to release a DVD that chronicles the events of the Infest years.
