Keyboard wizard Derek Sherinian knows how to rock, and everything else on his new CD Inertia. For this meeting of the musical minds Sherinian invited the cream of the L.A. music crop: Simon Phillips, Zakk Wylde and Steve Lukather, to name a few.
Sherinian's musical past is paved in rock and progressive experience. He's no stranger to the music biz and has held key stints in Alice Cooper, Kiss, and Dream Theater (not to mention his eclectic super-group Planet X is still thriving). Now he tweaks our aural and visceral senses like never before with his solo outing Inertia. From the pure rock energy of Frankenstein (a roaring version of the Edgar Winter classic) to the jazz fusion-tinged songs that imbibe this masterpiece, Sherinian delivers the goods in full-tilt rock fashion, with an emphasis on musical chops. His chops are definitely up, or shall we say they have been for the last decade! To get a teaser of Inertia or to find out more about Derek Sherinian, check out his web site... Go To Page: 1
