Bill Wyman News

Legendary Rolling Stone's bassist Bill Wyman will release two CDs this summer on Koch records: Groovin' and Double Bill. The duel releases include covers of Blues and Jazz classics, with some new songs blended into the mix by Wyman and friends.

Groovin' is the completion to the Rhythm Kings trilogy which includes the CDs Struttin' Our Stuff and Anyway The Wind Blows. This recording was previously unavailable in the U.S. until now. Due to fans clamoring for more the band reunited to record Groovin', which features a star lineup in Gary Brooker (Procol Harum), Georgie Fame (The Blue Flames), guitar great Albert Lee, and Wyman's old Stones pal Mick Taylor. Some great guitar work and a whole lotta vibe are poured into classic tunes like Groovin' (the Young Rascals hit), and Daydream (formerly by the Lovin' Spoonful). "Groovin" says it all!

Double Bill is a brand new studio recording that is sure to be a Jazz and Blues classic with Wyman rounding up a catalog of talented performers: Ray Cooper (Elton John Band), Andy Fairweather Low (Eric Clapton, Roger Waters), Chris Rea, Beatle George Harrison, and Beverly Skeete on vocals. The first single is and old favorite Love Letters, and features Harrison on slide guitar. Double Bill is double trouble--in a good way!

In August of 2001 Rhythm Kings set out on a U.S. tour that will feature many of the artists who perform on both albums, including Brooker, Fame and Lee.
