Alphabetsa verticle line down a paper (one letter on each line). Then, go back and write a word beginning with each letter of those letters. If you chose the category "animals", then "A" could stand for "aligator". "B" could stand for "bear", and so on. Or if you chose the category "science", then "A" could stand for "astronomy". "B" could stand for "biology" and so on. If you chose the word "sports", then "A" could stand for......well, you get the idea. See how many letters you can match for each idea you decide. Write a poem in this way and you have an acrostic poem. Here are a few alphabets to get you started: An environmental alphabet. Click each letter for a word beginning with that letter. A nutritional alphabet. Click each picture for a page to print out and color. Click "NEXT 10>" above the group of pictures for the next letters of the alphabet.
