Remember when you were in High School and you didn't read that novel for your book report until the night before? Then when you tried to pull an all nighter and read it the night before, you fell asleep and woke up with your face smashed against page 4? We all do. What saved you?
A) Your friend told you all about it and you managed to write up a crappy report and turn it in. B) You told the teacher you accidentally left your report on the bus. You'll have to re-type the entire thing. C) Cliff's Notes!! Since time began people have looked for shortcuts. Why do it the long way which tends to make you tired, cranky and bored when you can do it faster, less efficently and not learn anything?? When it comes to reading it is common knowledge that most people, especially when required to read a book, will find a shortcut. I have found a few sites on-line that are not only actually helpful (well, ONE is) but are really pretty fun. I've read many books. I love reading the entire thing if you can beleive it. So, people like me put up some catchy websites for people like...well who knows :-) and voila! Here is a list of some of the fun shortcuts that can still give you that classic rush! Pink Monkey at www. pinkmonkey.com = Great website full of hundreds of books broken down into chapters, characters, setting, theme and more. If you're looking for that book report shortcut, this is the useful one! Book A Minute Classics at http://rinkworks.com/bookaminute/classic... = This is a FUN website where dozens of novels have been reduced to mere sentences! It give you the entire plot of the story with a witty delivery. Movie A Minute Classics at http://rinkworks.com/movieaminute/= You got it, Book A Minute's sister site! All your favorites (well, a lot anyway) summed up in a few words. Don't worry, it doesn't take the fun out of watching them, but don't read one's you still don't know the ending to! The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged This is a play I highly recommend you see if it ever comes to your city. It is every single one of Shakespeare's works condensed into 90 minutes and played out by three men only! It is tongue in cheek and well worth any money they charge :-) Go To Page: 1
