FLASH Type - Part I

Other options in the Character panel are:
  • Font height: It defines size of the font.

  • Tracking: It defines the horizontal distance between characters.

  • Text (Fill) color: It defines color of the text.

  • Character position: It defines position of character relative to the base line. It may be Normal, Subscript or Superscript.

  • Kern: Kern controls the spacing between two characters. Some pair of characters have more spacing than others like the spacing between A and V is less than A and D. Some fonts have built-in kerning information. To use this built-in feature, we mark Kern checkbox.

Linking text block to URL

You can also link a block of text to certain URL. Double-click the text block if already not selected. Under the Character panel, type http://www.pakistan.com/ in the URL box and press ENTER. This will underline the text showing a link. But clicking on the text is not working, why? Yes it will only work in the exported movie but not in the .FLA editable file. To test whether it is working or not, click Control > Test Movie.
