In the previous article we have learnt some tricks of the Arrow Tool. Today we shall study the remaining functions of this tool.
Modification in Objects
So far we have used Arrow Tool only for selection and dragging purposes but Arrow Tool is also used for modification in objects. There are four states or shapes of mouse pointer of the Arrow Tool as shown in the figure. Each has its own specific function. You are already familiar with the first two cases.
Can you tell where state 3 and state 4 occurs? State 3 occurs on the lines whereas state 4 occurs at sharp edges or corners. O.K. Why we have used Snap to Objects in drawing right angle triangle? The answer is simple. Almost we have covered the Arrow Tool but four Arrow Tool modifiers are still remaining. There are total five modifiers of Arrow Tool. First one is Snap to Objects, which we have done in the previous articles. Second and third modifiers are Smooth and Straighten respectively. We shall study these two modifiers along with Pencil Tool in the next article. Now we are skipping it. The last ones are Rotate and Scale modifiers. Rotate is used for rotating and skewing objects and Scale is used for changing the size of the object i.e. width and height or both with same ratio. Go To Page: 1 2
