The Environment of Surfing (Part I of II)


Mexico, Indonesia, or the South Pacific.

In some destinations, you can find surfing instruction, but don't count on it unless you book your trip with a surf school. In general you are best off if you arrive with beach safety skills, good swimming ability, and your own equipment. Be sure to research your chosen destination before you book your flight: some locations have restrictions based on tribal ownership of adjacent lands, and some permit surfing only through organized trips.
