It's a sweeping first step to commend the achievements of Latinos in technology and recognize the significance technology has in our everyday lives. The objective of Latino Internet Month is to boost awareness in the Latino Internet communities by encouraging Hispanics to mold their future through education and information.

As part of the celebration, Quepasa.com will be working with establishments across the United States to deliver computers and free Internet access to Hispanic community centers, libraries and other neighborhood organizations. The Hispanic population has been slow in adopting computer technology and online services equal to that of the general population. The primary message of Latino Internet Month is to communicate the importance of technology and assist Latino communities in their attempts to make the technology accessible in all Latino homes.
