The creator and Executive Director of Calle22.com, Carlos Valencia said they are the first virtual streets on the Internet. The name of the site is taken from a traditional, popular street in Bogota-- a street on which anything can happen.
Calle22.com isn't some American based company trying to reach the Latino community. Carlos Valencia began his business management and international marketing experience in Colombia and Central America. The Calle22.com project has plans to expand its offices to Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Brazil and the Hispanic community in the United States. It's a huge undertaking with millions of dollars in investment.
