Latin acting and music star Marc Anthony has announced the dates for the summer leg of his North American tour beginning June 12 in Sacramento, California, and ending July 29 in Miami, Florida. Marc Anthony's Winter Tour 2000 ran from February 4 - March 21 and was his first since the release of his debut album - Marc Anthony, Columbia Records.

Marc Anthony's success was propelled by the catchy beat of "I Need To Know" which spent eleven weeks in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, another eight weeks in the Top 40, and then another two months on the chart. He earned a Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. "Dimelo," the Spanish version of "I Need To Know," hit No.1 on the Hot Latin Tracks chart. "You Sang to Me" isn't doing too bad, either.

Most of us Marc Anthony fans watched his exciting live performance "Marc Anthony: The Concert From Madison Square Garden" on HBO on Valentine's Day 2000. The show highlighted Marc's English language hits, along with hot tunes from the Spanish language salsa albums, which stabilized him as the world's top-selling salsa singer. "Marc Anthony has been hailed as the 'reigning king of salsa' by The New York Times, which praised his 'flawless singing' while calling him 'somebody who could compete with the great pop figures of the century.'"
