The "blue" feelings that emerge after giving birth are a normal part of becoming a mother and adjusting to the changes in hormonal balances. But because most women are unaware of the symptoms of post partum depression, they continue to go through days, weeks, even months continually feeling isolated by their feelings. It is crucial for a woman experiencing any symptoms of post partum depression to discuss her feelings with family, friends or seek the help of a health care professional.
