Veiled And Blushing

McCall's 2057 bridal veil with nine variations, while Butterick 4649 has six designs.

Faery Wings

Faery Wedding Wings will thrill you if this is your theme. A forget-me-not crown can replace a veil and there are golden wings for the flower girls. The groom is not left out as there is a simple headpiece for him. Elemental colored crowns also available for a handfasting ceremony.

Here is a flaming-haired Scottish charmer posing in her fairy wings

Pink Silver Faery Wings can be bought from Faeries 'n Things and they have an array of flighty colors as well as real feather wings to delight you.

Gothic Veils

Iridescent Veil sells ye darke clothing (see bloomers pic ) including sheer spider gloves and unique corsages/boutonnieres. I love the raven corsage! (wear it on your wrist). As they say "it's much cheaper than a florist, and lasts longer too". Gothic Black Veil. A free do-it-yourself by Victoria Gwaed. Stunning.....and if Gothic is you and yours, more free patterns can be seen on the accessories page where you'll find the Delia veil, band veil and bows and veils barrettes. Feast your eyes further here.

A crawly touch for you or your man (his shirt) is the buttonhole spider a wicked little crochet beastie from About Com. Crochet. You could affix him onto a black plastic comb that has a silver button glued to it and then add a swish of black net to shoulder length. Sweet! Petite!

One last peep from me......yes you can buy pure cotton tulle (harder to find is real silk tulle, but it's there). I use it and it can be dyed of course which synthetics cannot. Edged with silk bias ribbon, it becomes a soft, natural veil. Although it feels crinkly when purchased, after washing it is delicate. In other words, it hangs limp and droopy -- just how I adore it. Consider it for a net wedding skirt too, either circular or petals.
