Imagine yards and yards of beads.....from tiny glass seed beads to the very bold plastic pearls, which these days are shamelessly flaunting themselves everywhere. Victorian-hearted ladies will want to knit petite coin bags or secret letter envelopes, while spicy women cunningly whip up Middle Eastern marketplace pieces. Whatever you bedeck yourself with, knitting and crocheting with beads is an adventure that is never boring. Think of glass, ceramic, porcelain, paper (yes, paper beads) and of course your own hand-made beads. I have made some from terracotta air-dry clay and pierced them when not quite dry with a darning needle. If the hole in the beads won't allow them to be threaded onto your yarn, just thread them onto fine crochet cotton or glistening rayon and carry that along with your working yarn. Try knitting a casual carry bag, adding all sorts of beads at random. Easy and exciting. PS All beads are not round!
