If you need to defend your honour in a proper sunrise dual, you will of course be required to slap your opponent's face with a gauntlet to mark the official announcement. No gauntlet handy? Either of these patterns will serve you nicely - if you don't have much time before the dawn, I suggest you knit up the mitten version. A larger size can be made by using heavier weight wool and adjusting the needle requirements.
