Detectives come in all shapes and sizes. From sleuths that work the criminal-infested streets of big cities to detectives that scour the countryside for convicts. Detectives are not always human. In fact, some detectives are lizards. Yes, lizards. Meet Chet Gecko, the best Lizard Detective at Emerson Hicky Elementary.

Chet Gecko is a Private Eye. He is a fourth-grader at Emerson Hicky Elementary. His motto is, "No case too small...no snack too big." Chet Gecko has an eye for trouble. He spots strange happenings and peculiar circumstances at his elementary school.

Chet Gecko is on the case when one of his schoolmates has gone missing. Anyone could be a suspect. Plot twists and misleading evidence keep Chet Gecko on his lizard toes. Read all about this case by checking out The Chameleon Wore Chartreuse by Bruce Hale.

Here is the synopsis for
The Chameleon Wore Chartreuse
Some cases start rough, some cases start easy. This one starts with a missing first-grader named Billy Chameleon. His sister, Shirley, promises Chet a big piece of stinkbug pie if he can find the little brat.

But Shirley has more cooties than clues, and Chet's investigation turns up so many riddles he could write a joke book. He and his partner, Natalie Attired, may have bitten off more than they can chew.

But they'd better chew fast: If they don't find the kid in time, it's going to be bye-bye, stinkbug pie.

Now it's time to head to your local bookstore or library to find out more about Chet Gecko. There are several books to enjoy in the Chet Gecko series. You can also learn more about Chet Gecko and Bruce Hale, the author of the Chet Gecko series, at http://www.brucehale.com .
