Have you ever wondered if your teacher is a monster in disguise? What if your teacher led a secret double life? What if that double life involved the evil world of Metamoor? I have previously reviewed Books 1 & 2 in the W.I.T.C.H. series and am happy to report on the third installment, Finding Meridian.

Best friends Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin (W.I.T.C.H.) must find their friend Elyon. Finding Meridian is the third book in the W.I.T.C.H. series and picks up where Book 2 left off. The girls must find their friend Elyon, close more portals to Metamoor, and deal with their ever-present magical powers. The magical powers can be overwhelming and each girl learns to cope by either embracing or resenting the power bestowed upon them.
The portals to Metamoor need to be sealed. Fast! The girls discover that the portals are in peculiar places like Elyon's house and the school gym. Not only do the girls have to worry about portals to Metamoor, but they also have to worry about a mysterious book that has stumbled into their lives. The mysterious book has strange symbols on it. The girls come to discover that the book is the Seal of Phobos.
Through action-packed adventure the girls realize that Elyon is somewhere very unexpected and the same big, ugly monsters are still tracking their every move. The magical strength of the girls is united by the Heart of Candracar, but at what cost? The adventurous saga continues...

Synopsis: Even though the five friends are dedicated to using their powers to find Elyon, there is tension in the group. Trying to solve Eylon's disappearance is making everyone a bit on edge. This is no time for disagreements! The friends need to concentrate on locating the portal to the city of Meridian in Metamoor. Finding Meridian is the first step in solving this mystery-but it carries a dangerous fate for one of the powerful five.
