Nolan Byrd is a smart fifth grader nicknamed “Byrd-the-Nerd” by the class bully, Alvin “Bubba” Bixby: “born big and mean, full of teeth and ready to bite.” Bubba has given awful nicknames to Nolan and his classmates, including moron, worm lips, and butthead.
Bubba Bixby is a bully – he cheats, steals, lies, cuts in line, and terrorizes little kids. Even teachers and principals can’t seem to stop him. Bubba takes advantage of everyone until Nolan makes Bubba the subject of his class project. Using his digital camera and Internet skills, Nolan creates a website to take care of Bubba Bixby…for good.
This adventure shows that we all have a “superhero” within us. We can stand up to bullies and help rid the world of mean nicknames. This is the first book in a series of 4, all of which are now available.
