3. Cowbird only: Cover front, back, and sides with White paper. Use the Black marker to make odd-shaped black spots here and there on the white paper.
Catbird only: Cover house with whichever color you choose. Cut small pointed ears, turn a little of the flat end under and glue to the roof. Draw eyes, nose and whiskers, or cut them from construction paper and glue them on. The black hole will be the mouth. Red-winged Blackbird only: Cover birdhouse with black paper. Cut two wings in red paper. Fold about a quarter inch under on the wide end of the wings, glue to sides of birdhouse with tacky glue. 4. Draw a circle for the door on the front. Carefully poke a hole and use scissors to cut out hole. (Or you can use the black marker to draw a round circle for the door.) 5. Poke a hole in the top of the roof and thread through the ribbon or use the ornament hanger.
Option 1: Cut the top of one box to form a peak on each end. Use the large side panels of another box to make roof panels. Cut a hole in one end, paint, and display on windowsill or add a hanger and hang. Option 2:
