Heavy paper (1" x 7")
Stapler

Directions:

Cut a strip of wide crepe paper for the body of the dragon. It should be about 3 1/2 - 4" wide and between 3 and 6 foot long (3 ft for preschoolers, longer for bigger kids).

Have the child dab an assortment of spots and lines on the crepe paper with a paintbrush. Let dry. The crepe paper can be hung on a clothesline or other place while it dries.

Make a copy of the dragon head in the picture on a standard 8" x 11" piece of paper.

Color the dragon head as you wish.

Cut out the dragon head.

Staple the 1x7" piece of sturdy paper on the back of the head for a handle.

When it is dry, staple the wide body crepe paper strip to the back of the dragon head.

Grab the handle with one hand and hold your dragon high.
Have a dragon parade! Make your dragon dance! You'll need lots of room.
