Pizza Fun!

Jun 2, 2001 - © Donna Smith

Kids love pizza. They eating it, of course, but it's an easy dish for them to help make as well.

Parents love pizza because it's a way to sneak some vegetables into their kid's diets. Most kids will eat anything that's chopped up on a pizza. If your child does inspect the pizza and pick off what they don't like, finely chop, or even grate the ingredients.

Some ingredients you can put on a pizza include:
Grated zucchini
Grated carrots
Thinly sliced potato
Chopped spinach
Finely chopped broccoli florets

If you just want to have some fun with your child, make this fun recipe. Though there's not any veggies, you'll have a ball making it together, and your kids are sure to love it! (Save the veggies for later!)

Chili Cheese Hot Dog Pizza

One large Boboli Shell
Hormel Chili (no beans)
Hot Dog slices (round little pieces)
Shredded cheddar cheese

Cover pizza shell with chili and hot dog slices. Top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F until shell is golden brown. Serve.
