Cupcake Graveyard -- A Winning Halloween Recipe

© Deanna Couras Goodson

Congratulations to my Halloween Contest Winner, Brandon M. He's 9 years old. He submitted a great recipe entitled:

Cupcake Graveyard

Ingredients

1 chocolate cake mix

4 packages of vanilla frosting

3/4 cup cookie crumbs of your choice (you can make these yourself by crushing your favorite cookies with a rolling pin.)

24 chocolate graham cracker cookies

Instructions

Make cupcakes from cake mix and cool. In medium bowl, stir and mix one package of the vanilla frosting with the cookie crumbs. Frost cupcakes. Use a decorating bag with a plain tip to write RIP on the graham cracker cookies. Stand a cookie on the top of each cupcake, making it look like a tombstone.

Place cupcakes on a cookie sheet that's been coated with green icing (this may take 2 packages). Place ghosts, witches, bats and cats cut out of black construction paper in the green icing throughout the graveyard.

My son, Timmy, and I can't wait to test this recipe out at our Halloween Havoc Party on the 30th! Yummy!!!!
