Kids love a chance to work in the kitchen and create. Be sure there is adult supervision.

To start, how about those edible recipes that get kids into the kitchen and excited about cooking. From Wendy's World try these brand new recipes, a personal favorite is the Edible Birthday Card http://www.netfix.com/poptart/newrec.htm

Wendy's old stand by recipes are also great. From Apple Volcanoes to the traditional S'mores, here are some more great recipes http://www.netfix.com/poptart/recipes1.h... A personal favorite is the variation of the Banana Cream Pie.

To get the boys going try these really gross recipes which include Hairball Salad with Saliva Dressing and Spit-Wad Sandwiches http://www.melborponsti.com/speirs/gross... courtesy of Jim Speirs' Cooking Page. Also for more traditional recipes check out his Kids' Recipes with tempting treats as Fish in a River and Ants in the Sand, http://www.melborponsti.com/speirs/kids/... Jim truly has a great collection. Also, you should not miss http://www.melborponsti.com/speirs/bever... which is his beverage page.

These recipes definitely need an adult's help but are well worth it http://www.cp.duluth.mn.us/~sarah/rdr020...

More Fun Snacks can be found at the Activity Cupboard's Fun Snack Idea page http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/7997/... truly edible treats abound.

This recipe is included to show just how complete this collection is but it should only be used with an adult's help http://www.beakman.com/rock-candy/rock-c... Rock Candy!

Craft Recipes that prove useful and creative can be found here http://www.netfix.com/poptart/craftres.h... They include paint, playdough, clay, and glue & paste recipes http://www.netfix.com/poptart/craftres.h... At the end of the list are miscellaneous recipes that include Ooblik, Silly Putty, Blubber, and Goop.

More craft recipes can be found at this Canadian Scout page http://www.melborponsti.com/speirs/craft... Many of these recipes are found elsewhere but this is a great one stop resource. It includes recipes for Body Paints and Waterproof Glue.

For littler hands and simpler recipes, try Activity Cupboard's Homemade Supplies page http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/7997/... an easy page of crafting recipes to keep little ones busy.

No collection would be complete without a paper making reference site so here is Beakman & Jax's paper making site http://www.beakman.com/paper/paper.html including what paper is made of and how to make it. Here is how to make paint the hard way, a great experiment http://www.beakman.com/paint/paint.html for those willing to put in the time and effort.

Finally, my most favorite find sticker glue recipe http://www.earlychildhood.com/arts-craft... this one is courtesy of EarlyChildhood.com.

Happy Crafting!
